During my time in London I was lucky enough to work for a variety of architecture and design practices. Working on various short term contracts also allowed me to travel in between.
I started out in Jersey at Nigel Biggar and Partners, one of the Island’s largest architectural firms, and gained fantastic experience on a spectrum of projects; from harbour warehouses to heritage farmhouse refurbs; from a restaurant and to a beach hotel renovation.
In London I worked for Edco Design (landscape architects) detailing rabbit proof fences and rills, Cushman & Wakefield (global property company) with their interior design team, on office fits outs in the Gherkin; and spent the majority of my time in a most beautiful building in South Kensington, working for Haskoll Architects. I had a ball.
This mixed-use urban regen project comprised a retail and leisure zone on the lower levels, parking in the middle, and student accommodation on the top. I spent many a happy hour detailing doors, fire escape plans and facade glazing.
